SURPRISE! One of my former students stopped by this afternoon, Jesse Roles has moved to Denver and it was great to see him. I was Jesse's teacher in 5 th Grade. AMAZING 20 or so years later, I haven't changed, missing a my mustache that's it! Jesse on the other hand looks a lot different...

We framed this large copy of the DENVER POST for a 90 year old gentleman's birthday. It is the front page from August 3, 1923 the day that he was born. He is still a practicing Attorney here in Denver and his colleagues had this framed as a birthday gift to hang in his office.

Thank you Ron Ransom!

 Ron Ransom Woodcarver and his Santas. I bought Ron's book Santa Carving in 1998 and carved Santas for 20 years. I heard from Ron again yesterday, he is now 85 and teaching his last woodcarving class in North Carolina this Fall. This book started a hobby that brought such joy to my life, that I just wanted to say Thank You to Ron. I hope everyone finds their inner creativity and allows it to come forward.

Hang Artwork with NO holes in the wall!

Hang Art without drilling holes in to the wall.  As the directions on the package said to do, first clean the surface with isopropyl rubbing alcohol (the package specifically says to not use any other household cleaners). Use five strips on the back of each frame. The package says you only have to use four sets for this size frame, but  five just in case. Though now that you can see how good they hold (which is like super duper well), four sets might have be just fine. The concept of the Command Strips is pretty smart when you think about it!

Bigger is better!

When framing art on canvas, large scale mouldings often look good. This frame combines burl veneer with gold and black ornamentation so it coordinates with a variety of elements in the art.

More than one way..........

There is more than one way to frame any piece of art. You should always make choices to enhance the appearance of the art, with other factors being your personal taste and what looks best with your decor.
