Having your family and friends together for the holiday festivities is a great time to showcase your special photographs and memories in a fun way. One idea is to create a montage of different shapes and sizes on your wall by custom framing your photos as shown in this dining room setting using our authentic Teak moulding.
Here’s a fun project for all the comic book lovers in your life… Have the covers of some of their favorite issues blown up and custom framed to create cool, graphic art that’s also meaningful to them! This idea can be used in so many ways – favorite childhood books, vintage cook book covers, classic fashion magazine covers, etc. When beautifully custom framed, these would make fabulous gifts!
Love the look of symmetrical groupings of an art collection, but don’t have a number of similar pieces to feature? No worries – turn to custom framed mirrors! Select a special frame moulding, and your custom framer will do the rest! Then, hang them as you wish…in a quad, or horizontally or vertically, on either side of a headboard or above a dresser – the options are endless! And, if you really love the look of the four-piece grouping pictured here, look to frame your mirrors in our Jepara collection, which features hand-applied Capiz shells.
When hanging art on a wall with dramatic, or uniquely shaped ceilings, consider having the top line of your grouping mimic the line of the ceiling. This will emphasize those fantastic, architectural details, as well as add a designer touch to your gallery wall.
Haynes of http://www.runamuckstudio.biz/ I wish the photos were better because they just don't convey to the beautifully made feather tree. I couldn't be happy and I think it is a wonderful Holiday piece, come see me!
Colorado Attorney General John Suthers will be leaving his office at the end of the year. His staff commissioned a painting by Dana Verkouteren, of John Suthers arguing a case in front of the U.S. Supreme Court, Kansas Vs Colorado over water rights. We framed this painting for him from them, and we wish him well and thank his staff for letting us framing such a beautiful gift.
Sometimes the answer to a big, empty wall is an art grouping. Sometimes it’s one BIG piece of art. In this case, the latter was the answer, and it created a bold and dramatic wall in an otherwise delicate and pretty space. The chunky frame design is proportional to the art and available space, and pulls together the blue, white and yellow tones in the room.
Here’s a super fun idea for showcasing your kid’s favorite Lego figurines… In an open shadowbox! When not in play, they’re on display and add some funky décor as well as customized personality.

Don’t forget those tall, narrow spaces in your home when considering art to install. These spaces make the most impact when properly used. Take a note from this image and bring together a small grouping of pieces – they don’t have to be identical – and hang one above the other, drawing the eye up and adding interest.
Tall ceilings call for artwork brought to new heights, like in this bedroom space. Even with a tall headboard, the space wouldn't feel “filled” without the art positioned above the bed. Because the art and frame design is neutral, it works in the space and doesn't take away from the architecture.
Happy Veterans Day folks - and a BIG thank you to all who have served or are currently serving in our armed forces!
There are so many ways to thank a Veteran - and not just today, but on any day of the year! Although, our favorite way to thank them is through custom framing. It's a perfect way to preserve some of their most precious memorabilia and create future family heirlooms at the same time!
Have you ever custom framed military memorabilia? Perhaps you have a special story to share about a veteran you know? Feel free to post in the comments section below!
Thanks again Veterans, for providing and protecting our freedoms each and every day; we appreciate YOU!
If there ever were rules for how to hang wall groupings, they seem to have been thrown out the window. These days people are just doing their own thing. Have fun. Be creative.
We all have those people in our lives who are totally nuts about music. Why not play up their passion with a truly phenomenal gift this holiday season…? The gift of showcasing their love through custom framing, like these fantastic framed guitars!
Use a variety of moulding profiles to add visual appeal to your family photo wall. In this case, a limited palette of silver and white make it all look cohesive.
When fitting framed art in a narrow space, go for a light and airy design so the art doesn't look crowded. A lighter toned mat and narrow moulding are smart choices too. In this case, a deep moulding profile projects the art forward, giving it more presence on the wall.
